Thats right. I am walking for the cure.  No I don't have breast cancer and neither does my wife but heck its good exercise and helps me meet my goal of at least one 5K a month. If you want to help me and support my efforts please click the following link. http://www.active.com/donate/KC2008/CDecker78

I thought only gals could walk in that?   At least that's what my former boss' wife and our secretary told me when they walked it several years ago ..

I thought so as well.  But my wife called the director of the event and she said there are about 20% men walking as well.  So I decided what the hell I'll help make up that 20%. I really don't care if it is all women I will still get my exercise in.

I used the Komen Race for the Cure last October as my first 5K run. It was a blast and having breast cancer survivors in my family was a bit moving as well. Hope you have fun!

wow 20%???  that IS quite a few then ..     I read somewhere that 3% of breast cancer victims are men, btw ..   I'd be curious to know how many of those are smokers though, and how many have "moobs"/gyneocomastia (like me) vs. flat-chested, or whether there is any correlation there at all ..
