HERE I IS!

thanks for checking up on me. we were checking up on you too a while back. thought you were knee deep in oriental poon....well, you get the idea. been having fun watching cat fights on here. oh man, i wanted to step in a couple times but then remembered how i started a few and thought better.....lol. i slammed a couple guys on my last post when they seemed to invite the women over here. not cool. so i chilled.

as for my health, well, still holding weight like you. i added swimming and that upped the cardio so i've been losing a little. i did however have to make a huge decision. my docs have been telling me for the past two years my job is an occupational hazard and i have to give it up for my back. well, i'm interviewing for a new career. i had one interview and made it all the way to near the top. they flew out from ohio to interview me and a couple other guys. i stayed for two hours! i'll know in a couple days if i got it. i doubt it though. LA is a huge territory and they said they had stacks of resumes and had to narrow it down. so.......looking for something that won't kill my back. i'm still working until i find the right gig so that's why i haven't been around. very busy with looking for work or working. thanks for checking in and i hope all is well with you too......carbonblob

CB!

Great to hear from you. I was busy with work. I could have posted a little I guess, but I was afraid I'd be lured into hours a day on the net and not get my work done.

Cabinet work sounds like fun/ exciting, but you're right. In terms of unpredictable stress and lots of tension on the back, it's probably one of the worst. Sounds like you're looking for something in sales and marketing to make use of the old clientele? That will be perfect. And there's probably nothing more stressful than being in business for yourself, so now you can let someone else take care of the headaches (love my entrepreneurial spirit?).

Swimming ought to be good for the back. I posted a couple of days ago about how doing 400 meters of continuous backstroke did the "velvet hammer" on everything from the bottom of my lats to the top of my butt (didn't hurt, but certainly wore it down).

Glad to hear you are well and on the way to a healthier lifestyle.

Best Wishes,

Dave
