Opening up a hornet nest...But here goes.  Not going to reply concerning Lance's comments, or your comments.  I would like to make an observation in general.  If I made this post(one on the DS board and one on the RNY board), what would be their response?  "After much pondering and prayer...and talking with friends who have had different WLS.  Talking with my doctor concerning all different options.  Reviewing the data available...I have decided to have RNY (or DS).  I post the above on the DS board for having RNY and I post the DS on the RNY board.  What would be the different responces to both post??  Would the DS board be supportive?  Would the RNY board be supportive?  I would just like to hear people's thoughts.  Brian

Drama, Drama, Drama. Lifestyle change is what's important.  F the DS vs RNY arguement. This is ridculous.

Play hard or go home.

If you're going to call me a jerk, at least have the balls to not block me first.  Maybe when you grow up,  and learn to read, you can actually see why people choose the DS, feel free to book mark my profile for future reference.

Scott

PS i fully accept your apology about your ignorant DS comments. As you can see there is nothing in my orininal post about which surgery is better. Scott

Should have put some "pondering and prayer" into this post. Isn't it a bit counterproductive?  Why build walls when we can build bridges?  And no, I'm not Gahndi's grandson!

why build a bridge to false information, when there are possibly preops out there who have not had surgery, are still in the process of making a decision, and could be helped by some correct info. Scott

Does anyone ever get into a Mac vs. PC argument that resembles this?

Yep; just another war of religion. I'm reminded of Gulliver's Travels with the wars between the "big endians" and the "little endians" (having to do with how you like to eat your soft-boiled eggs!) /Steve

No kidding. This argument needs to be took over to tuna town where they eat up this kinda garbage.

Work is for those who don't know how to fish.
