OT Prayers please
Hi guys. I know many of you to be praying folk, so I thought I'd post something very important here.
Many of you may have seen the Humbolt Fires in Northern California last week. Doesn't matter if you didn't.
A good friend of mine is a firefighter who fought this fire. He and his partner were caught in a back-wind and very badly burned. The investigators all decided that they should never have made it out alive, but they did.
While he is in UC Davis med center for severe burns to his head, arms, and hands, his 18 month old son had two 45 minute seizures from a completely unknown reason. He's now in the UC Davis pediatric center
The next day (yesterday) his mother was admitted, also to UC Davis (she was visiting) for a surprise brain tumor, which will be operated on tomorrow morning.
If there has ever been a family in need of prayer, this is one. If you're a prayerful fellow, please add them to yours.
God Bless

Prayers going their way here, Cartman (for what they're worth from this ole apostate) ... If you don't mind, I'll also post this on the "Nigh****chman" thread on the Texas Forum. George P. is the "nigh****chman" on there and has that thread each night for anyone needing prayers ..
My heart really goes out to those forest firefighters .. It is one of the most dangerous jobs around .. They're stuck out there in the middle of nowhere and if those winds suddenly change, like they did with your friend, it can be disastrous. They have no where to go but try to bury under it or in water with their air packs (if they have air with them) until it passes over them. &:-(...
I also have a good friend who is an M.D. who was the sole survivor last year of a private plane crash in NC. His two doc buds died in the crash, when their plane pulled up at landing at the last second b/c of wild hogs on the runway. The plane hit power lines and then went down. My bud, Larry, ended up sitting in a circle of burning fuel in the grass. It was truly a miracle he survived, although his right arm and hand were severely burned, as was part of his leg. Being a former military doc, he was flown to Ft. Sam Houston to their burn center for top specialty care and rehab. He has since made a full recovery, returned to his surgical practice, as well as flying and scuba diving. He's really a neat, fun-loving, fella, and even does the "Red Hash" festival thing, if you are familiar with those. Larry might be willing to fly out there and wish your bud well. He is so grateful for having been given a second chance.
