OT MENs Forum
Brent, Welcome to the Board! Congratulations on your first month post-op! It just gets easier… Most of the gals on OH have the sense to post On Forums where their input is needed, desired, and where they can get something from it as well. (that whole support system thang) Several are lurkers *****ad here because Often, we have some fun jokes and straight shooting info as well. Lurkers/Peeping Toms (Tammys) are fine, but occasionally One will tap on the window and cry “I need Attention!!” Or break right on in and demand attention. Those are the desperately needy ones That would come across just as inappropriate In the real world. It’s fairly rare. Glad you found the place. Throw out any thoughts or questions you might have. The guys here are very good about sharing experience. Sort of like an all request radio station… Only as good as the requests made of it…. Best Wishes- Dx

I am new to the Forum, to obesityhelp in general. During the last week or two there have been attempts by two women to openly enter the discussion here. My question: is this normal? Aren't there enough Forums here and elsewhere for women to talk to men? On a different note, I had my RNY on May 19th. I live in Washington state and have Group Health insurance. I am going to do my best to not just be a lurker.

Brent,
Good luck on this journey. Even your doctor will not be able to give you the range of ideas and information you can get here. The locker room is a special place. I don't start my day without it. In fact, when I see a woman has posted, I go get another cup of coffee and sit back and read. Our guard dogs are some of the best, most well-trained, guys around.
At 7 months out, I am very thankful for this board and the guys here.
