Blood Pressure
could be several different things. I still have this happen. Here is what both my primary care and the surgeon had to say.
1. Make sure you are hydrated.
2. You still have all the blood vessels that you had pre-op and you can get blood pooling.
This blood pooling will bet better with time as your body learns to adjust to it.
Make sure all your lab work is in proper order (mine was)
Have them do orthostatic blood pressures on you (Sitting and Standing).
Get up slowly, I only tend to get that dizzy sensation now if I jump up too quickly.
Good luck and go see your Doctor to confirm that it isn't something more serious like an internal bleed, or a blood pressure issue.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
I had exactly the same issue last year when I was 3 months out or so. I don't know what it was, but is didnt last long. I would be picking stuff in the garden, and when I stood up, I would feel woozy and dizzy. I know my protein was low at that point, and my strength was gone. Now my strength is back, probably more than before with all the workouts, and I haven't experienced that since last fall.

Certain meds will cause it...Protonics (sp), Flomax, blood pressure meds. When I get that way I will taste a pinch of salt. I had been sweating alot and I found a small amount of sodium will help restore me. Don't go hog wild, just a pinch. Also some spinach or oranges or bananas might help if your low in potassium. If your a nursing major then I'm sure you've studied the sodium-potassium exchange. Those may help. Brian

I had that happen often to me during the first 2 weeks post-op. I had high blood pressure before, and have been taking medication for about 3 years. About 2 weeks out I checked my blood pressure one weekend morning before taking my meds, and it was 103/65 -- much lower than I'd ever measured before.
Yesterday (4 weeks out) I talked to my primary doc about this and he cut my BP meds in half, and I'll follow up with him in another few weeks. I expect I'll be able to dump them altogether in a few months...
