Happy Fathers Day Dudes!! (for those who are Dads, Son's of Dads, and those practicing the art of "Making Babies," even if they haven't taken root yet...) The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
June 15th!

Whole bunch of new guys just home from their surgery...
Hang in there, It Does Get easier!

... just hitting your first stall?
It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!

Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!

But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------

Hop your Azz up on the Scales!

How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?

And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?

Morning Gents.  I lost 13 lbs. in the last week.  Total down as of today, 87 lbs in 2 months/4 days.  Still have a ways to go but I'm getting there.  I haven't weighed 370 lbs in over 10 years.  At 4 weeks out I hit a mega plateau but have been tinkering with the workout and diet and finally, the plateau is dust.  Been sliding downward ever since.  Have a great Father's Day everyone!
Highest: 457 / Surgery: 433 / Today: 370 / 87 lbs gone / Surgery Date: April 11, 2008

Hey boys, happy father's day to the dads, me, no human kids, just 2 cats and a dog.  They treated me to a new pair of swim trunks, a new dress shirt and a tie.  Do you know how good it feels to be able to wear a medium size pair of Arizona board shorts from the youngs men's section of JCP??? Plan on hitting the beach and zoning out in the sun this afternoon.  Anywho, here's todays stats: 2 weeks pre-op: 432 Day of surgery (4/10/06): 417 Today: 194 I've put on a few pounds the past few weeks, I think it is more muscle than anything, I've been hitting the weights pretty vigouresly at the gym lately.  Be well fella's. This week back at my favorite number 184.  Its my favorite because it makes doing the math easy.  200lbs lost since surgery! (jan 07) Last couple of weeks it has been as high as 187 and as low as 181.  I am happy in this range and have not made any effort to lose anymore.  I hope to maintain this weight. Off to spend the day with the kids. Jim D

The scale gods were very, very, very good to me this week!  Down 7 for the week and just .4 from being half way to goal!  Yea! 331 / 321 / 265.4 / 258.4 Heaviest / Surg / LW / TW  To the Dad's Happy Father's Day!  To those like me who lost their Father's way too soon remember what they taught us and as mine used to say "Do what you think is right."

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
