2 Tests Done...

I had my Pschy Eval yesterday and have started my Optifast program today...I also had my upper GI this AM. The Ultrasound is on Monday AM...then I will call my surgeon to see which one is next and hopefully get the letter started so to speak for the insurance claim. -Rob

How did you Psych eval go?  I'm always amazed at the wide variance that exists from place to place.  Mine was basically assembly-line type stuff.  Questionnaire (fill in the bubble), brief interview, and see ya later.  I guess if there were red-flags things would have been different-maybe I should have mentioned my secret obession with Otis *****meyer cookies...

Mine was similar, wham, bam, thank you sir for your 150.00.  He threw in a couple of watch your marriage statements for effect. Stay on task and keep meeting your requirements.  Towards the end they begin really test your mettle, but keep thinking of your long term goal. Guy

My Pschy Eval was done at the hospital in which I go to for the Optifast program...basically it was a walk down memory lane of failed weight loss trys in the past. Asked about my family and support then ended up with questions if I really knew what I was getting myself into by chosing RNY...I guess it went ok...didnt hear any different.. -Rob

either that or they'll be picking you up and putting you in your new "white ' jacket"!!

I thought the Psych evaluation was a joke.  I was scheduled for an hours and so was my wife, we were both complete in about 20 minutes.  I guess we are very stable or really fooled him quickly.  I have joked with my wife that I bet his report was about 20 pages long!  I would really be interested in reading it.  I don't feel that this evaluation had much of an impact on the success of my surgery, but at least it got me the surgery!
