Pre-op Question: How did you lose the weight before surgery?
I looked at the diet/lifestyle i was going to have to live after the surgery, and I ate that in the exact portions that I would have to post surgery. The weight just came right off. That and walking.
So basically protein, protein, protein.
Good luck.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
I started using CIB as a meal substitute in February. I would have a CIB for breakfast at 6 a.m., then another for a snack around 9:00 a.m., then for lunch at noon, and then another for snack at 3:00 p.m. Then I would eat a Healthy Choice dinner or equivalent for dinner.
8 days before surgery, Vanderbilt puts you on a strict liquid diet of CIB shakes and clear liquids. It really did work for me.
I weened myself off the 150 Ounces of soda a day slowly and cut out all caffeine carbs candy and sugar 2 monthes before surgery. by three weeks before I was at zero cokes, jus****er and G2. Dr only required a 1 day liquid diet I did 4, lost 11Lbs in 3 days on the liquids. Losty a total of 28 pre-op from approval to surgery(2months).
The liquid diet and exercise will know it off quick, I was also walking 2+ miles a day the entire 2 months.
My doc didn't have a specific amount of weight I had to lose, but he did want me on straight running liquids for 7 days pre-op, and clear liquids the last 2 days. IIRC I was on moslty tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, apple juice, tomato juice, and protein shakes. I lost 13 lbs in those 7 days.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
