One month check up
Had my one month (actually 5 week) appointment today. I have lost 42 lbs since my surgery on May 5. If the 11 lbs I lost pre op is added I am down 53 lbs! Only another 66 lbs to go. In addition to that my BP was normal for the first time in more than 20 years. Doc actually reduced the amount of my High BP meds.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so one of my main reasons for the surgery is to reduce the strain on my joints and to hopefully reduce the amount of meds I take. Looks like it is starting to work for me. YEEHAW!!!!!

Capricious; Impulsive, Semi-Predictable
Actually 7 weeks if you count in the two week pre-surgery diet. I was not as heavy as most who get this surgery. My BMI was 40.2 Some people give me a hard time and say I could have taken care of my problem with exercise and diet. What they don't comprehend is I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so serious exercise is not an option and trying to lose weight with diet and a relatively sedate lifestyle is nearly impossible. This is why my Rheumatologist recommended WLS.
Anyway to say the least I am really happy so far.
