Bought my Family Bicycles!
So after walking yesterday I also wanted to start riding mountain bikes. hmmm the dilemma. walk or ride. I now know I love to walk but I want to ride too. Like when I'm traveling( I drive a cargo van all over the midwest) I don't want to just sit in a hotel and I have found they don't take great care of the fitness equipment at some of these hotels. Well I can just pull my bike out of the back of my van and ride!.
On to the details. Well I decided to spend some money on our health and thats the way I'm looking at my bike purchases. I bought my wife an 08 Diamondback Sorento at Dicks Sporting goods. While there I bought the Saris Bone three bike car rack and a helmet for her.
I got myself an 07 Cannondale F4. Since it was an 07 the bike shop I went to (Cycle City) wanted to move it. I think I got a heck of a deal. it was a $1000 bike last year marked down to $899 and I ended up spending $700 on it .They gave me a new larger saddle and a small hand pump. I also bought a kids trailer to attach to the bikes to haul my kids. I am hoping my son who is 4 will want to ride his bike with us. I then went back to Dick and got a helmet and a cable lock.

The first thing to go was the saddle. I still have a lot of weight to lose before my ass wont eat up a small saddle like the one that was from the factory.

I commend you for making this happen. I didn't even know you could buy a bike that would handle 360 or so, thats amazing. Riding a bike again is one of my 'to do' things as I lose weight, so this is pretty exciting to me.
