Easy Calcium

So, I had the hardest time getting in my calcium every day. I"m supposed to have it, as are many of you, 3x daily for about 1200 mg.

I found something that I've used for a few months now, and thought i ought to post it. It makes it so much easier!

UpCal D is a powdered Calcium Citrate supplement with added Vitamin D3 for even better absorption. Each scoop (about 1/4 tsp or so) is 500 mg. It has no flavor and no taste. I even mix it with water sometimes for VERY LITTLE noticable difference.

I get the 227 serving canister along with the single serve packets. I keep the packets in my briefcase for on the go, and mix the scoopable one at home.

Since I got this stuff I have made my calcium most every day. I've stirred it in water, Crystal Light, smoothies with protein, pudding, even cottage cheese. It goes anywhere.

I usually pair it up with a flavorless/textureless fiber supp too for added bonus! (walmart brand)

I used the CitraCal chewies for a while, and also chewed up the CitriCal Petites (don't reccomend this). UpCal D has been BY FAR the easiest.

I ought to work for these people the way I talk about them. I just wish I'd seen them in the beginning of my journey.

I got mine at www.vitalady.com but it's available in a lot of places.

I appreciate the heads up. I been taking the Bariatric Advanatage chewable horse pills. And they're not totally unpleasant. But this sounds better. I'm kinda thinking this calcium thing is creating bricks in my colon though. I'd like to find a way to **** without having to burn so many calories in the process. And not rip my asshole a new one.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Chewable, you say? I use those, but I was taught by my nut to suck on them. It takes a while, but spreads out the calcium.

That's probably not a bad idea.

I also love the UpCal also.  Not only is it easier to take, but it is a lot cheaper cheaper than the pills I have found anywhere near my home.

I get it at Colonial Med for  about $13.50 for a 227 serving can and have one scoop in the AM and PM, mixed into my protein shake.
