3 more days and getting really nervous

I was lucky. Once I made the decision to have the surgery I never looked back and was never nervous about it. That is not to say I don't understand where you are coming from, after all getting ones intestines re-routed is a serious undertaking and there are some risks. Just keep in mind that the risk that something will go wrong is minimal. Keep the faith and go fishing, or as mentioned earlier clean the garage or some such.

Work is for those who don't know how to fish.
"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
I can relate, I was nervous and scared going into the surgery but I always knew I was doing the right thing for me. I was concerned about what may happen to my family if something happened during surgery but I also knew the chances of something happening during surgery were minimal compared to what would happen if I did not have the RNY. Even the first couple of days after coming through with no complications I kept thinking that the hell did I just do to myself. I am now 4 months out, down over 100 pounds. Working out 5 days a week. Feeling great. Not falling asleep while driving on my 70 mile commute to and from work. Eating healthy and proper portions. Unbelievable change from a few shorts months ago. No regrets on my end. Best of luck and follow the doctor’s orders. Tom
