More surgery
Well here I go again I still am having problems with fluid collecting in my lower abdomen from my hernia and plastic surgery, from back in February. They did a follow up surgery in April to remove fluid and tighten the skin and install drains, and now it’s back to the same way it was before and in a few hours I will be back on the operating table having surgery again. This time the doctor is going to try and put in some sutures in my skin to pull the skin closer to the mesh patch they used to repair my hernia .The doctor said that is what the problem is that there is a gap between my mesh patch and the skin in my lower abdomen and that gap is where the fluid keeps building up so if he can close the gap the fluid won’t fill up. And of course I will have drains in again. This crap is starting to get old fast, but I keep telling myself it is still worth it, and a small price to pay for having my hernia and plastic surgery and getting that 11.6 pounds of excess skin removed. Only thing is now I have to keep telling myself that over and over to try and convince myself of it. Well wish me luck guys and I will post when I get home and feel up to it, if all goes will I will be back home today and I should be in surgery for only about an hour. Alan
