Once the surgery site heals up completely, (And most Docs recommend 6 months to a year) Then an occasional drink is fine. Beware of drinking for the ‘buzz’ because that tends To bite folks in the azz pretty quick. Several guys out here have fallen into the bottle And fight like hell to get back in charge of their lives. But, forewarned, for armed. A bunch of us had dinner together a few years back And everyone had wine (one or two glasses) with the meal with zero repercussions. Like most everything about WLS, It gets easier with time. Best Wishes- Dx

I have a bloodymarry just about every weekend . ( I use V8 though ) That way I can get my veggy's  and a buzz all in one . Alcohol was never really a big problem for me in the past though . That's not to say I haven't  used the sh-t out it at times. When I was in the Army ; that's were I really learned to drink ! LOL  I had lap band so We dont have the problems with alcohol that RNY 'ers have. One of my hobby's is wine making . I still make wine too . So I have a glass of wine from time to time when  Im not in the mood for vodka .  That is the only two things I will drink.( other then water )  Just be carfullll when ya do have one , make sure you have a safe ride home.Even better have the first one AT home .
