At what point do sizes start coming off?
When I was at your stage, I had the same question. I started out at 6'2" and 455 and was wearing sized 56 stretch waist pants. And I was using up most of the stretch. 80 lbs lf loss later and I'm in my 52's but they are tight as hell. I lost a lot larger proportion of my weight out of my face, neck, shoulders and upper chest than anywhere else. So my waist line wasn't shrinking fast enough to make much difference in the pants. Now I'm about 150 lbs down and the rest of the loss is going to have to come out of my waist as there's not much fat left above the bottom of my rib cage. My shoulders are bony and my neck looks like a turkey. But the gut remains. Like I said, I'm about 150 lbs down but have only lost about 12" in my waist. I am wearing a pair of 44's today. The last time I wore these pants Slick was getting blown in the oval office.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
Yup, I too felt that the sizes would NEVER start to drop....and then they did! From a 60" waist to my present 36" one took 18 months....but the big losses were (as I remember) tween I think month 3 and months 9 or so....from a 56" down to a 42" drop....
That said, I too "found" WalMart, and Zellers (a canuck low price dept store) and said "bub-bye" to my fav Big&Tall....tho those owners were awful nice to me...I NEVER want to go back there....
Buy cheap but buy FEW new pants/shirts till you're in the 12 month postOp timezone...else you'll be tossing 'em out unworn.
Oh, and yes, I've gone from an addition to food - to an addiction to clothes! LOVE to look nice now, instead of in navy blue 60" 5XL sweats....
Aint life GRAND!

I was used to wearing bigger than I needed si it took awhile fo get into a smaller size. I did goodwill n then value city n then clearace racks. One thing i found was different brands ran different so a 2x in one brand was tight but an 1x in another was comfortable. I try to buy better but in the clearance aisle now.
