Surgery tomorrow
Howdy... Long-time reader, first-time poster...
I've been lurking here for a few months, since my PCP first recommended I investigate bariatric surgery. He recommended the Center for Weight Management at UTMB (Galveston, TX), and I first attended a seminar with them in November. I started pre-approval work with them in January, and got my insurance approval in April on the first try.
I'm supposed to show up at the hospital at 7 AM tomorrow. I've just finished chugging a full 1.5 oz bottle of Fleet Phospho-soda (diluted in 80 oz of Gatorade G2) and am wondering if I'm going to get a chance to finish this message before it takes effect...

Update... Surgery went smooth as buttah this morning. 1st walk about 4 hours after surgery was kinda rough due to gas pain, but a 4-hr nap, a couple of good burps, and a few more hits of the morphine pump later my second set of laps around the ward were easy. Looking forward to barium swallow test tomorrow...
