I saw Jerome with Unjury bad mouthing Pro-Stat liquid proteins the other day and privately messaged him saying he should check his facts before committing libel. Nothing against Unjury, they make a great product, but Pro-Stat isn't too bad either.

Jerome responds that Pro-Stat hides their info from their customers and doesn't want to talk about protein efficiency because their product does so poorly in tests. So I send him a link to their FAQ page where they provide all of their protein efficiency test scores (in NPU, PER, and PDCAAS no less) and he responds back that the reason they won't tell anyone their PDCAAS score is that it is so much lower than Unjuries.

Unjury has a PDCAAS score of 100%, exactly the same as Pro-Stat Profile!

Talking up our own product is one thing but bad mouthing others to the point of absolutely lying to people on OH who need to get their protein however they can is just sleazy.

I like Unjury as a product but I have zero respect for them as a company now and will be looking elsewhere for my whey protein needs in the future. I mean **** it's just whey protein, not like they invented some new ******g protein that is 10 times better than anything else out there.

Crash, Over the years they have had many on the boards Point out the fact that although UnJury has a Great product, Their marketing is slimy. In the past, people who have pointed this out Have had their posts pulled. (and some eventually banned) OH is here to sell. They make money off of EVERY Click that members make And particularly off of the advertising income from such as- Unjury, "The Pouch Pal" and Susan Maria…. All of which have ‘slimed’ the Message Boards with false statements in the past Only to be supported by OH because "They pay the bills here." I would love to see Jerome post his views about Chike! Nutrition…

Another of the Advertisers here. I have no idea how OH would handle one "Bill Payer" going after another But it would be a show….. Why I love the Not-for-Profit WLS Board..... No Salesmen slipping in as 'concerned members'... Best Wishes- Dx

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up. Maybe Pro-Stat needs to advertise here, or at least give their legal department a call on the slander.

I wasn't trying to start **** initially either. I actually thought maybe Jerome had just confused Pro-Stat with another brand (like ProFect) so I emailed him, showed him their PDCAAS score and asked if it was a slip up. He emailed me back asking what ever in the world would make me think he could make a mistake.

****y ******* that one.

In general, everything that I've read in Unjury product literature and on OH Forums that Jerome@unjury has written, I've agreed with.  (So he MUST be right!  )  I don't know from PMs or private emails, so I'm reluctant to draw any conclusions from them. /Steve

If you click on the "Latest Posts" keyphrase beneath someone's avatar, you'll get a listing of all the postings that person has posted within the OH Forum that you are currently in.   In general, I don't trust any "clear" protein solution, especially when it claims to contain more than 25-odd grams of protein per shot; red flags go off when (as all too often) the source(s) of the protein isn't identified, and sirens and bells start screaming when it turns out the scammers don't identify the protein BUT they've given their "scientific proprietary protein mixture" a tradename!  Eauugghhh! Could Jerome have confused all the different  musclehead protein supplements whose brandnames begin with Pro____?  (Surely, there must be a dozen of them! )  Refusing to be called on that might make him a ****y asshole (hey, I like to think I'd wear such a badge with pride, too), but it doesn't reflect on what Unjury sells.  (Other than squandering some good will.) Having a supplement manufacturer and a sponsor participate in the discussions on OH Forums can raise some issues, but as long as this basic parameter is understood, it ultimately should turn out to be a net win for every party involved.  I might be wrong, but Unjury seems to be unique here on OH.  I wish more supplement vendors had such an electronic presence!  I'd like to ask "New Whey" some questions!  (First: "can I get a refund for the 6 boxes of protein *****es I bought online as a pre-op, before I figured out that they were useless?") /Steve

Same here. That's why I thought he was mistaken when he lumped the Pro-Stat in with the ProFect and New Whey, both of which lack tryptophan, an essential amino acid.

I emailed him just as a friendly heads up, hey, I think you made a typo. His response was "why would you assume I made a mistake".

My response was that he either made a mistake or was lying. He's one of those guys who can never admit he was wrong though. Whether he knew about them or not he refused to take back that he had said the Pro-Stat guys are secretive about their PDCAAS score and that it was low, when in fact if you visit their site they are happy to state that they have a product with a PDCAAS score of 100%. As expected, when you have a quality protein you want to brag about it.

Now they do have different proteins but even their lowest quality protein has tryptophan added so that if you have at least 25 grams a day of their protein you will meet the RDA guidelines.

Its funny how these things go in cycles. ike Dx said this was a hot topic last summer. Unjury as a rep for being a bit misleading when it comes to the competition. They are surely losing buisness that way. He should have enough good things to say about his product w/o having to bash the competition. Let the product stand on it own.

Exactly. It's good stuff for sure, and they are very open about what it contains. Just like Pro-Stat. There are enough bad guys to pick on by saying honest stuff about them that there is no need to lie about other good guys.

The proprietary blend bull**** definitely ****** me off the most, it's a great way to get around listing how much of each protein you use so you can use all collagen and still look good. But when a company is straight up publishing their PDCAAS score it's hard to fault them.

if the owner of a company replied to a straight up letter with, why would you assume i made a mistake, i would kick their ass. that's totally unprofessional and you don't treat customers that way. that alone would be enough for me to never use their asshole products anymore. also, if you build yourself up by knocking other people down, well, how respectable is that? thanks for the heads up. i would never in a million years tell anyone to use their products now let alone use them myself. sounds like the kind of guy who would **** in a can of protien if it were addressed to you. what an ahole......carbonblob
