Getting Nervous
I know that many of you have posted this to the forum, but I had to post for myself. I am new to the mens forum and am glad that I found it. I am scheduled for a VSG and while I am looking forward to the results, I am nervous about life post surgery. We did not get this way without liking food and the part of having my stomach removed is what keeps going through my mind. I know it is the right thing to do, but can any of you gentlemen comment, especially if you had the VSG.
Thanks
The VSG won't be as restrictive as the RNY is. You will be able to eat more than us RNY'ers and also not have to take as many supplements although I'm just assuming. I'm pretty sure the vertical sleeve gastrectomy is where they make a banana out of your stomach but don't switch around the intestines so you should be fine.
Enslavine, I did not have the VSG but I can tell you that having WLS was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I do want to welcome you to the Men's Forum and I am glad you found us. There are a lot of great guys here and they are very knowledgeable. So ask any questions you might have and I am sure someone will be able to help you with staight and honest answers. Good Luck to you. And I hope this journey is all that you wi**** to be.
The restriction and feeling of being full
On a lot less food has made my weightloss possible.
Everyone gets the “Pre-Op Jitters” so it’s natural that
You are anxious.
For VSG specifics?
