Question for the over 400lbs guys...

I know this seems like a strange thing to wonder about, but I'm 496lbs, pre op (awaiting approval from OHIP), but am curious about the spot just above your dick... you know... that second belly...  I can't beleive I'm saying this, but currently mine is a fairly big pillow... what happens to that when the weight goes? Do I end up with some skin curtains for my one man show? Or does it shrink down? 

I was at 519 before surgery, now at 380, mine has just went down, hardly any fat there anymore and no flabby skin.

I was 375...I had to have a little operation on it...it did go down, but I did have the curtain

479 prior to WLS, I had to have PS as well to get rid of my rather large pannis (pube area). No muscle behind it so nothing can be done without PS unless you're lucky enough to have it "deflate" by itself.

Hi Gadzukes: Most of the big people I talked with had or will have a plastic surgery to take out the extra skin. OHIP will pay for this because they consider it necessary so that you will not get infections from rashes etc. OHIP will NOT pay for any other plastic surgery. 455 pre-op, 315 these days. What weight I did carry down there seems to be dissapearing proportionately. Most of my fat was stored a little higher. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck with your journey and keep us posted. JF

I was 385 (day of surgery- had been a touch hevier) at 6’1” It did shrink a great deal. I had a panniculectomy that removed excess skin. Now at 185? No pube-pillow, no skin-garage. Amazing the difference it makes…… Best Wishes- Dx
