Had my 1 week checkup today. Dr said everything is going great and I don't feel bad so I reckon everything is good.

I got to start my stage 2 diet today. I had 2 ounces of protein shake and 2 TBLS of low fat cottage cheese...I never thought cottage cheese was that good!! Heck the protein shake even tasted good.

Work is for those who don't know how to fish.

Wait till you try Re-Fried Beans with a little Cheese! Food of The Gods! Glad to here you’re cruising right along. As you’re adding food back in, Take it easy. One at a time. That way if something doesn’t sit well, Catching "the Culprit" will be easy. Best Wishes- Dx

Like you, I like beans. I have 2 cans of re-fried beans on the shelf waiting to be eaten.

Yep, I am just adding one at a time. I already figured out that Crystal Light is off my consumer list.

Great to hear that things are going so great for you....   And, at 14 months out, i still LOVE no-fat Cottage Cheese......      Keep up the hard work, man.  The time will FLY by............

I was lactose intolerant as a child but as I grew I got to where I could tolerate in moderation. So I am not the biggest fan of dairy products but, products I can best tolerate are low fat cottage cheese, skim milk, mozzarella cheese, and string cheese. String cheese is my favorite so I will be glad when I am released to eat it.

Dairy - and CHEESE in particular - has been a major staple in my post-op diet (and, i like all the low-fat, non-fat stuff, so I haven't had a problem with dumping or the extra calories).   One thing it took me a while to realize was the fact that all that CHEESE was getting stuck on the way out!!!!!!!!!!!!!    But, it was actually thanks to the guys on this board that I made the correlation between my massive cheese intake and the constipation i was having.....    So, just something to watch out for.....   I added more fiber and Colace (at the recommendation of my surgeon and PCP) to my daily routine, and haven't had any problems since......    Keep us posted on how you're doing.
