Running update

Hi guys, thought I would update where I am with the running. I have changed my routine a little. I did some research and from what I learned I now run every other day and one day a week I go for distance; trying to run farther each time. Saturday after work I went for distance, ended up running 9 miles in 1:14:26. Once again I really didn't plan on running that far, but after 5 1/2 miles I was still feeling good and decided to go farther. Of course I was a sore this morning but feeling good now. Going for 10 miles next time.   pan head

Way to go Panhead!  9 miles in little over an hour is fantastic.  Because of you, Chad and others I have been able to keep up my walking.  Like you I do it every other day and I have worked up to a mile a day.  That is nothing compared to you.  But for me that is a major accomplishment.  It won't be long before you are running 10 miles and doing that in a tremendous time.  Keep running and keep posting.  You always encourage me to do better.

What a start for you Bama! 20 pounds man.  Way to stick with the program and just think about how much fat you'll be burning in the Alabammy heat here in a while. Come fall, you'll be sliding into a placekicker-sized Bama football jersey. Roll Tide! Boner

Your time for 9 miles is almost exactly what I clocked in a 4 mile walk our town had last Saturday. I want to run but with the weight I'm carrying around, I always end up hurting myself. Perhaps once I have surgery and loose the weight I can join the ranks of the runners. You are very inspiring! Mark

That's awsome man. I tried running the other day and I'm still too heavy. So right now I just stay with the eliptical.
