The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
May 11th!

Mother's Day!

... just hitting your first stall?
It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!

Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!

But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------

Hop your Azz up on the Scales!

How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?

And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?

My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179

Me?-

As a side note, Hi Guys! I've been lurking here for about a week and cracking up over you all, but have really been much of a poster until the surgery last week. Since DX was kind enough to invite me, I thought this would be a fitting place to start.

How much have you lost? 35 lbs total (first 20 took 2 years)
Since Surgery? 15 lbs
Or in Pre-Op Diet? 20 lbs

And has the Scale moved this week for you? yes.
If so, How Much? 15 lbs

Hi Dx and Everyone! I'm down 2 lbs. since last week.  Today I'm 193.  This is another new low for me. Yesterday I needed to go shopping because my pants were getting loose again.  I bought new one in size 36.  I can't even remember the last time I wore a 36.  And, because Macy's had a good clearance sale, I decided to pick up a few shirts as well.  The large were too big and I ended up purchasing medium.  I don't ever remember wearing a medium, even in high school.

Overall, I'm down 163 since surgery, and down 182 from my highest weight!

Highest: 375
Surgery: 356
Last Week: 195
Today: 193

Jim, You rock!  Way to go. I'm wearing 38" pants, and flirting with the 36's. Like you, I have no memory of ever wearing a 38, let alone a 36. Congrats! JP

JP, Thank you.  It was a really good feeling to get into that size.  And, I actually like to shop for clothes now--especially at sales.  I never enjoyed that before.  I just had to settle for what they had in my size if anything. You are doing very well yourself.  Keep it up.

Those of you who follow my posts on this recurring thread are probably aware that I only weigh twice a month because of my past history with getting all mental and **** over what the scale might say. But last Tuesday was one of my official weigh days and I weighed 315. However, on Friday I went to see my personal doc to get my bloodwork done for my upcoming 6 month post-op consult with the bariatric doc's people, and I weighed 311 on the scale at her office. And that was with clothes and shoes on. I'm not counting the 311 as official or anything, but it was a welcome surprise. If I do really weigh 311 then you can take that word "morbidly" out from in front of the word obese when you speak of me. And that's a major fart. I'll be on here with an official weight in a couple of weeks, but until then I'm 315. Which is 140 down from last Halloween and 127 down from the day of surgery.

Hubba J Hubba, Bama. 13 days out baby. I remember those heady early days. The thrill of being able to wipe your ass without having to have Olga Korbet like flexibility in your spine to reach the sweet spot. The emotional surge from seeing the head of your dick for the first time in years. Getting out of the car even though you forgot to put the tilt steering back up all the way. Good times, Bama, good times. You should be about to the point where all the post-surgery pain and soreness are gone. How bout it?
