Hey Fisherman - thanks for the post. When i had my pre-surgical consult, my surgeon suggested 275 as a goal weight (with my height of six foot ten, and my bone structure), and i thought "Yea, right!!!!!!!!!!!" - but now that i'm at 280, i really  have NO idea what weight i want to be at LOL.... i do know that my apron and my deflated man-boobs need to be removed, and that will be around 10 pounds i think.  And, i would like to add some muscle mass again, so - who knows what that will do to the scale.   At my annual check up with my surgeon in March he said that anywhere between 275 and 300 is a healthy weight for me, and i feel great.  My bloodwork was awesome (i eat a well balanced diet, and take all my supplements like the compulsive person that i am LOL), i'm off all my meds, off my CPAP, blood sugar is normal, blood pressure is normal, never get short of breath, etc. So, I'm very happy with where i am right now - but i do need to go have some plastic surgery and add some weight training to my cardio and yoga.   Thanks again for the response.

way to go. i know how hard it's been for you. that's a lot of weight to lose. i was a lightweight but being about 8 times shorter than you it was still hard for me too. keep up the good work. that's a really astonishing drop in bmi. wow......carbonblob

LOL- 8 times shorter???    Maybe 7 times shorter :-) Yea - it really didn't hit me until this week when someone made a comment about me losing 50% of my body weight, that my BMI had also gone from a 60 to just below 30. What a wild and crazy year it's been.   Thanks for your support CB,

Put on enough muscle mass and you wont need to have the man boob skin removed. Pecks man Pecks. Heh heh

I'm afraid these empty boob bags won't snap back no matter how much time i spend on the bench press.  Check out my before pics to get an idea of how much baggage i was carrying up there!!!!!!!!!!! But - I do plan on getting a decent chest back - unfortunately in my case, it will take removal of extra skin for anyone (myself included) to see any of the muscle LOL....

Thanks Boner.   When I first did my BMI and realized I was one of those 60+ BMI people, I was very scared about getting surgery - and thought that a BMI below 30 was un-reachable....  But, here I am!!!!!!!! What an amazing ride it's been - several bumps along the way - but, i'm here :-) Thanks for the words of encouragement and support - keep on biking, bud....
