BMI - from 60.1 to 29.3
Hey Guys - just wanted to share that my BMI dropped below 30 this past couple weeks, and I'm elated.
My highest weight (that i'm aware of anyway) was 575, and my BMI was 60.1. I'm now at 280 pounds and BMI of 29.3. For those of you trying to figure out the math, i'm 6'10" (six foot ten inches) tall.....
When i started this journey with a BMI of 60, i was so afraid i wouldn't qualify for surgery - and, then was so scared that i wouldn't survive my WL surgery because my BMI was so high. But, here i am 14 months later!!!!!!
So, stick with it guys... The rewards are waiting...............
You are simply and totally disgusting. You must be appalled at your rapid weight loss,...are you ill??? It just doen't sound healthy, What have you done to yourself. You are such a looooooser!!!
Is that a tremedous FART or 4 ???? What a great job yu have done and wonderfully wild ride you have had. I remember how nuts you were when you first started posting,....well that hasn't changed much but I mean nut about doing the surgery and losing the weight and the being able to eat right afterwards, and all that kind of pre-op fers and concerns type stuff.
It all seems like yesterday,...man time flies when yer having fun,...doesn't it?
LOL - you crack me up Joe. I was a TALL NUT before i found this board, and I'm still a TALL NUT.
This is a great place to come for support and information. And, being obsessive-compulsive has certainly worked to my benefit in doing the eating/exercise thing correctly after the surgery!!!!!
Thanks again for the kind words - I finally realized that I needed to get my saggy azz back on here and start posting again - it's my turn to share some of the "after surgery" results with those just finding the board.
And, yes - it's been a WILD and CRAZY ride!!!!!!!!! (that was said in my best Steve Martin voice i could muster).
Congratulations Chuck! Now, when are you and Boner gonna start that Men’s Board Basketball Team? We have several NBA contenders here. Joe Wollet is an easy 6’11" and I think I remember about 5 more ‘high-pockets.’ Chuck, seems like just yesterday you were starting out. How cool to see that 29 BMI!!! Keep it Up!! Best Wishes- Dx
Thanks Bob - i thought it would take me FOREVER to lose the weight, and never knew if I'd get this low. My weight as a senior in High School was 330. And, i was on varsity football, basketball (of course), and was our varsity heavyweight wrestler. In our division, heavyweight was 185 pounds and above. Those POOOOR guys that had to carbo-load the week before weigh-in to hit the 185 pound mark so they could qualify for the HeavyWeight category would SH*T their onesie when they saw me walk onto the mat (I was six foot eight inches in high school - grew 2 more inches the summer after i graduated).
Anyway LOL - that's my story :-) I'm thrilled to be at this point in my journey and i appreciate the kinds words.
Hey Dex,
Thanks again for your initial invite to this board many moons ago....
Funny thing about the height is - some gal i see ocassionally said it looked like i was getting taller (obviously because i'm not as ROUND anymore) - so, i told her with a straight face, "yea I am getting taller as I lose weight" - oh, this poor gal still can't figure out how a 41 year old is still growing taller. And, the fact that she BELIEVED me was just TOOOOOOO priceless for me to tell her i was joking. I know, that's kinda cruel - but come on guys.... When you get someone THAT gullable, you just HAVE to keep the joke going!!!!
Anyway.... thanks again for the continued encouragement and support.
