.K. guys did your man boobs return to normal size, or did you have surgery, or do you just live with it.   That is the one thing/area that I am really considering having surgery on.  I just won't feel right until those things are gone.  I want to have a positive image of my body, and I just can't get past the moobs. Any specific exercise that might help with that area.  Anyone have a similar experience. Scott

Scott, Mine returned to normal, however, I have been doing exercises to help.  As part of my weight routine, I do bench presses and flies (incline, decline, supline).

I don't really remember far enough back to remember what normal was.  I'm still 100 lbs from goal so it's not really something I'm gonna worry about for a while, but right now they look pretty much proportionate to the rest of me I think. I would guess that any type of exercises to strengthen and tone the pecs would be helpful. Bench press, incline press, good ol' push ups, etc.

Funny you should ask.  I was busy getting dressed the other day, and my SO piped up and said:  "Boy, your boobs are a LOT smaller!"   It was meant as a compliment, but it's a bit like hearing "Wow, your **** doesn't look quite as small now that you've lost some weight".  (No, I've never heard that, and I'd better not!) Anyhoo, that prompted me to look at 'em in the mirror, and they *are* a lot smaller.  Most important of all, while they've shrunk, so has the skin around them, so I haven't ended up looking like a forest-dweller from a National Geographic photo shoot.  Not saggy at all. I have ~85-90 more pounds to lose (if I'm extremely optimistic), so I may be singing a different tune in 6 months, but most of the fat there seems to be gone already. /Steve

Hey Scott, I think it really just depends on your body type, and the amount of yo-yo dieting you've done over the years. i've always had a large chest (sometimes nice pecs, other times big moobs).  As a result, my 270 pound weight loss in the past 14 months has left me with two deflated balloons that don't stand a chance of retracting.  There is just too much extra skin there. I hope you all like the visual - that really wasn't my intent, but it's true - you should see me bending over the sink to brush my teeth in the morning LOL.   They just wave back and forth in the breeze (I better be careful or I'll get banished to the main board with all this saggy booby talk) :-)  hee hee

Pretty good sized moobs and nearly 500 pounds prior to WLS. 275 pounds lost and lots of frickin' pushups later, the moobs be gone although I certainly don't have a ripped chest like a couple guys here in the locker room. It's takes a lot of muscle work to fill in under the excess skin (in all parts of the body) and in some cases, the only answer is plastic surgery. You're a relative youngster, Scott so the skin may pop back pretty good in your case. Maybe, but I have been fat all my life, so I'm thinking that the stretching is probably permenant. God I hate push ups, not sure I can even do one.  Guess I need to start working on it. At least give it a try before I fork over the money for plastic surgery. Scott
