What a great day!

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to share my day with you.   Back when I started this journey, I thought oh wouldn't it be great to weigh less than 300 pounds by my birthday (this Sunday) and today I got on the scale and it said 288!

My Dad had sent me some money for my birthday, so my wife took me to the polo outlet to buy some new clothes.  Well I was wearing a 4XL shirt over the winter, I actually fit into an XL, it was a little tight, but I was able to get it on and be semi comfortable.  I ended up getting XXL shirts off the clearance rack and two pairs of shorts.  But I was able to get some great clothes in a store that actually carried size small and pants waists started at 30 inches!

Only thing that would make it better would be some good loving tonight, but I don't think that will happen since my wife is only 7 days out from her surgery.  Boy Farts feel so much better when there is no gas involved!

Doing great!!  Just a reminder to not go hog wild on the new clothes.  You should be out of those new ones in 2-3 weeks (if not sooner).  You might want to look at Goodwill or the Salvation Army Stores (or friends or family) till you get closer to your goal and start to stablize.  From someone who thought he was done losing and spent $200. on new clothes, only to have to give them away later.  Brian

Thanks for sharing your great day, Jim. Isn't it amazing to look at the smaller sizes and actually FIT into them???? I still look at the XL shirts and think "There is NO WAY that thing is going to fit me" - and, yet it does!!!!!!!!

Keep up the hard work...

Jim, It feels great to shop for and buy clothes in a smaller size.  But, enjoy them while you can.  Because, as Brian said, they will probably not fit you in a few weeks.
