tired of my apron like tummy
guys
i need your advice.
is exercise the only way to deal with a flabby apron like tummy?
mine is not huge but it is excessive..i have far too much tummy which is now hanging over my waist.
i have neither the energy or endurance to put my body through rigourous training at the gym
so i would like to know if there is an alternative?
i'm tired of my physique....would ideally like to whip this tummy into a strong 6 pack but that is gonna take a long time i suspect and will be physically painful
but if i reached my goal i think the pain will have been worth it.
i currently weigh 240 pounds and i stand 5ft 6 tall and small shouldered.
thanks
Trevor
Trevor,
Welcome to The Men’s Board.
I'm 6'-1" and I lost from just over 385 lbs.
down to 179 lbs,
And then have bounced between
180 and 185 for 4 years now.
I had a flap of excess skin right at my waist.
My solution?
Cut it off!
Panniculectomy.
I’m very fortunate that my insurances
Covered it completely.
But, even if self pay?
It’s less expensive than one would think.
mine would have been around $4000 for the full deal-
Doc, Anesthesiologist, hospital, etc…
Much easier deal than a full out abdomiplasty. (tummy Tuck)
Hope you reach all of your goals!
Best Wishes-
Dx
Hey Trevor - i'm 6ft 10inches (yes, 10 inches), and i have lost 270 pounds since my surgery 14 months ago.
I have a HUGE apron of skin and two deflated man-boobs that need to be surgically removed. My poor 41 year old body has yo-yo dieted since junior high school, and the only way this skin is ever going to be tight, is with the help of plastic surgery.
I don't think everyone needs Plastic Surgery, but I do know that for many of us that have extreme weight loss, it is the only viable solution to have tight skin. I also have rashes under the skin, and my PCP and I are trying to build a "paper-trail" in my medical record in the hope that my insurance might pay for the plastic surgery.
Good Luck, and continued success. Keep up the hard work.
