It is official! I have a date.

Seen my surgeon Thursday morning and well looks like May 27^th it will be. I start my liquid diet on Monday. I did not sleep very well last night. Went to eat out and wanted to order everything on the menu. All these thoughts are racing through my head. Some good some unsettling. I thank all of you here for your great stories and encouragement. It sure helps us going into surgery to better understand what is coming and how many of you have dealt this it. Make room another one coming to the loser bench.

Hey Hans, Good Luck on your upcoming surgery.  I'll be praying for you for a safe and speedy recovery.  I believe a little fear is always to be expected before surgery.  But just remember the new life you are going to have after it is done.  It will be good to have a new "Loser" on the bench with us!

Congratulations Hans. The emotions are CRAZY at this stage of the journey - I know i was up and down and all over the place after I got my date. Exicted one minute, and scared to death the next. Second guessing my decision, and all those doubts, and negative self-talk thoughts in my head "you just want to take the easy way out, Chuck" - and, all the other CRAP we tell ourselves....

At 270 pounds down, I can assure you, my decision to have WLS was the best one i have made for my health. You're on your way - HANG ON TIGHT

Congrats Hans!!  I think the emotions and thoughts are normal. Just keep your eye on the  prize, stay focused and you will do fine!

Great news!!!!! I am hoping to hear on my approval anyday now.  It was all sent to Aenta.  Keep us posted.
