FRESH MEAT! Neighbor Home from RNY
Yo dudes!! My neighbor, across the street from me, observed my weight-loss over the last 18 months and decided to do likewise after we had a couple of visits and chats. He even was scheduled for lap-RNy and changed to open RNY after meeting my surgeon (same practice, different surgeon, earlier surgery date). He is listed on obesityhelp.com as michael_d_george http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/michael_d_george/. His surgeon is Dr. Neil Hutcher of Commonwealth Surgeons in Richmond VA, at Saint Marys Hospital. He had his open RNY surgery this past Tuesday and comes home today. I visited him at Saint Mary's last night and he was doing really well except for his asthma was acting up. He was walking and still on the ephidural IV pain meds. His incision was a work of art. Any PMs from/to his homepage/profile blog I am sure would lift his spirits if you have time and are so enclined (as opposed to included; up hill; hardy har-har). Thanks a bunch. I think he will find a happy place here on the men's board. I know it was a HUGE help having you hammy, straight-shooting jokesters, nutritionists, and atheletes to hang with and learn from when I had my surgeon Sept 06. I appreciate your help coaxing him out of the lurking he did the 2 weeks before surgery.
May the FARTS be with you!! Joe
Done, Joe. Thanks for the heads-up. I think Mike has posted in the locker room a time or two as I remember his cool Chris Farley avatar. I'm sure you were a big inspiration and resource to him. By the way, my older brother is having his psychological exam today in Omaha and is currently in the midst of his pre-WLS 6 month diet and exercise regime. Soon there may be "Dos Boners" in the locker room.
Later, gator!
