Apology & Call out for HELP to a guy on the Main Forum

Two points---

1 My apology for my unlady like behavior.  I've attempted to delete all the rude posts.. if I missed one and you feel it needs recanting... PM me, link it and I'll pull it.

2---MORE importantly.... there is a THREE day POST OP MAN.. that needs you guys!!!

Thanks Sandy, It takes a big person to apologize and I respect you for it   Also, thanks for letting us know about the guy getting slammed on the main board.  I sent him a message to invite him over here.  Thanks again.

looks like a lot of you are reading this post so i'm going to tag on to dougs reply. i don't want to start another thread on this subject. there's been enough dust up and i've already apologized for my part. however, i just got an email from one of the admins. here it is......

I just wanted to touch base with you and ask if there was anything else we could do to calm the waters on your forum? I am sorry that there seems to be a "few" that want to mess it up for you guys. We moved some threads to try and get the drama off your forum and pulled others.

If there is anything else we can do, please let me know. Don't get me wrong, things got out of hand all the way around but I respect you guys and your space and think others should do the same.


so here's a chance to respond. they are open to suggestions. my only input was to tell them not to move a trouble makers post. that's just cutting our nuts off. plus it actaully makes matters worse by more women reading the post on the RR board hence more coming in here or pming the hell out of us.

someone mentioned to leave it here and let us deal with it. i think that's best. it leaves us to deal with the perp and leave our nuts intact. besides, we seemed to manage to mend things. now there's a couple *****ally stir the pot in here and on the other sites. some even slipped under my radar. i was backing the wrong horse so to speak. regardless, here's a chance to voice what you want. i don't know if they will see it here on this post but i refuse to keep waiving a red flag and upsetting this board. especially now that it's calmed down.

so if you're reading this and want to start a thread fine. i don't want to do it again. or just email the admins as to what you want to do.

CB, I second the motion to keep threads started here, Here. OH Moderators stirred up 10x the dust by moving a thread from here to the Rants Board.  A few years back (maybe three now) When some of us met at the Lexington convention, The ‘Mods” of OH asked if it would be best If they put a “Disclaimer Page” at the entrance of Men’s Forum ‘Warning’ of foul language and “Adult Content.” I said I didn’t think so….. Not because I don’t think there should be some announcement That this is a “For Men, By Men” sort of place, But because I think it’s not just Foul Language and offensive material That is the backbone of this Board. What I think makes this place fairly unique is the Mix Of Ministers, Bartenders, Jocks, Teachers, Military and Openly Gay Men. Somehow, despite all of the differences, the similarity of experience is shared. We have a more balanced mix of Lap-Banders, Rnyers, Gastric Sleevers and DSers Than any other Board I’ve found. And yet “My Dog’s Better” scuffles are almost unknown here. If a “Disclaimer Page” is put in place, it should simply say “The Forum is For Men, By Men.” and leve it at that. Nothing to scare away the Sunday School Teacher Grandpa’s And nothing to Nudge the focus toward constant dick jokes. Just a Forum for Guys. Follow? If they are truly interested in “making this place work better” A Little Tech Work on the Main Page is also in order. Example- When you go to the Main Page of the Exercise Forum (which has slightly less traffic than this Board) This is what you get- http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/fitness/

All the Bells and Whistles and frequently asked questions and articles, etc… The Teen & Childhood Obesity Forum? (which has maybe a post or two every 3 days) You get this- http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/teen_wls/

Links, articles, help items, Much IT time has clearly been spent there. But The Men’s Forum? Just the header-

On the side. Summing up- When you get back in touch with them, 3 things- 1.) Don’t  throw gas on the fire by moving posts from here to other forums where loonies can be attracted. 2.) Some post-it Stickie Post that Labels this as a Forum FOR Men, By Men. 3.) The tiniest show of effort toward the Main page? (in the past, Eric Klein Himself asked Paul from Dallas for his input.  That would be most welcome) Jeremy G is now the head of Members Services.  He could get more involved here as well. Just my thoughts…. Good move to not start a new thread about an old one about an old one….:-)
