Long time no see, neighbors. Just a heads up! I'm still alive and kicking.  I haven't made all the correct decisions but overall we're doing well. I'm positive i've stretched my stomach and I deal with that everyday. I really try not to eat too much nowadays but the bottom line is I can eat WAY too much now than I thought I would at 16 mos. post-op.  But, the positive is: I'm on a good ,hard training regimen with a personal trainer, I'm doing my absolute dambdest to keep my diet as low fat, low sugar as possible.  I can't tolerate processed sugars worth a flip. I eat too many sugars and I am out. zonked. Sleeping like a dead rock.  Fat? Fuggett-a-boud-it. Ugh........ That's just too nasty to even think about. So, I guess what i'm lookin for is: Has anyone else stretched their stomachs and what have you done about it?

Not anywhere close to where you're at, and can't answer any of your questions.......but I like the **** out of your name.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

yeah, funny thing, i thought the same thing. i went on an actual diet! i was gaining. it was hard but not being as hungry helped. so i lost the ten pounds and then found i was back to eating small again. now i can graze. so i have to be carefull. but actual food is back to small portions. so maybe a do over is in order. you might find that shrinks it back. worked for me! carbonblob

I don't what the consensus is around the mens forum but I was reading some stuff about the 5-day Pouch Test. It is supposed to be for long-term RNY-ers that need to get back on track. I wonder if it would help you out with your problems.

DFish, I eat very normal (for non-obese folk) sized meals. As well as three additional “Snacks” (mini-meals) per day. My capacity for eating is quite large. But, “WHAT” I eat is awesomely healthy. So Far?  So Good. Don’t confuse quantity with Quality. If you are eating high protein, high vitamin food sources, even in larger amounts, You should be fine. Track your caloric intake for a week or two at some site like Fitday.com in order to see if you are actually “Over-eating.” could be that you are just eating “Normally.” The nature of these Boards is that they are populated primarily by Early-Post-ops. The dietary intake that seems “Normal” here on the Boards, may be quite different from actual long term regimes. Yes? Hope all works out well for you…. Keep us posted? Best Wishes- Dx

I've probably stretched mine out a bit. I'm currently on a bulking training cycle and in order to build bigger muscles I have to eat more, I eat very clean and have carbs and protein in check. Bodybuilders have a saying ,you don't get big in the gym, you get big in the kitchen. I don't recommend this to anyone that doesn't follow a strict workout regime. I'm 15 mos. out. Keep working out bro, you CAN not only lose fat, you CAN build strong well defined muscle and abs too. Stick to it, it'll be worth it one day....Inky
