Back home
Back home after having a hernia repair / abdominoplasty on Friday.
They took off 11lbs of extra skin, just around my waist, and fixed the hernia with some extra muscle instead of the mesh they normally use.
I'm in pain, and have this wierd nerve thing going on with my right thigh where I have a numb spot on the outisde of it about as big as my hand, and if I move my leg just right, it feels like it's burning.
However, that being said, I'm feeling better than I expected to be feeling.
Yeah, I still have extra skin on the inside of my thighs, butt, and upper arms.
But - as far as I'm concerned, I'm f'in done with surgeries. Four in two years is a lot to deal with.
I'm just thanking the powers that be that I came through this one with flying colors so far.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body—but rather a skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow, what a ride!’ ? —anon.
Congrats on getting home so quick.... I have the same thing coming up soon, and I think the thigh/butt/arm flaps will just continue to flap int he breeze!!!!!!!!!! Although, I am going to tell the Plastic Surgeon when he makes the abdominal cut to just pull REALLLLLLLY hard, and maybe he can make my ass tight again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If not, I guess I'll just keep riding my mountain bike!!!!!
Welcome home..... Chuck
