New photo's and kilt talk

I uploaded some new photo's to my profile page. There are a couple new ones of me in the before and after folder, and a couple of me with my bike in the misc folder. I am wearing my newest kilt in the pictures. Guys, if you want the ultimate in comfort, consider a modern cut version kilt. It is all I wear now. I have wanted a Utilikilt for years, but didn't want to spend the money. They are pretty expensive, even more so when you are big and start adding extra for big sizes. Since I am getting so close to my goal weight, I decided to get one but opted for the less expensive Amerikilt. I learned to sew when I was in high school, so I figured I could make my own. I took some measurements off the Amerikilt I bought, found some directions online, and the rest. as they say, is history. I have made 3 new kilts in the last 2 weeks. The digi camo one in the pictures is the coolest I have made so far. I added cargo pockets to it. Baja, I can totally see you on a beach reeling in a big one wearing a khaki kilt. Anyway, check it out guys. Once you get one and see how comfortable they are you will never want to trap yer balls in a pair of pants again! I hotlinked Utilikilts and Amerikilts, but below are the url's in case they don't work for you. www.amerikilt.com www.utilikilts.com/

OK, When I was in Portland I must have seen a couple of hundred Of tattooed, bearded dudes in Kilts. Wassup with this? Adding a enough Ballroom to hold a prom?! I’m out the door at the but-crack of dawn To Virginia. Best Wishes- Dx

They are becoming very popular and Utilikilts are based out of Seatlle Wa. Utilikilts did 2 million in business last year, so people are obviously buying them.

Don't know much about Kilts or Quilts, but I am looking for a Pacific Islander type men's skirt for an event at school. Anyone know where I might get one?

Thanks,

Dave

Boner,

From Wiki:

"Lederhosen have remained regionally popular and are commonly associated with virility and brawn. Some men enjoy wearing them when hiking, working outdoors, on a stag night, or attending folk festivals and beer gardens; they are rarely seen elsewhere. Nevertheless, they have remained a symbol of regional pride. Their role in Bavaria is thus comparable to that of the kilt in Scotland"

Cool!

When I was in Germany back in the late 80's, I bought my son a complete lederhosen outfit including the pants, shirt, socks and a hat with a feather. He hated them but I thought it was a cool look for a youngster. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending how you look at it), I couldn't find a XXXXL pair for yours truly.  Boner

I have a great kilt that I wear for Rennaissance fairs and SCA events.  The great kilts have over 10 yards of wool in them.  They are a bit heavy, but  It really is comfortable.  Just remember when you see a bunch of guys wearing those, and they are standing around with hands on hips and kind of swaying in a little circular motion, they AREN'T doing the hula, they are creating an updraft to keep the boys air conditioned.
