sent in appeal yesterday
All
my appeal was sent in yesterday but I don'thavea good feeling about it. This is the third time I have tried for wls. the first time my insuranced changed before I could get approval, The second time I was denied, but did not get my appeal in time before my insurance changed. So this time I started over in january. I went back to ST. Vincents in Cleveland as they have one of the oldest programs around and figured they would know how to get me approved. we submitted everything they asked for and I was denied, the insurance company then give me another list of things that I needed to do to get approved and I completed everything they asked for but I feel like the insurance company will just keep coming back with more tests and other bs to keep putting off approval. So my question is what is the next step if the insurance company denies me again.
Thanks

Bill,
In an "oversimplified" manner,
Bariatric Advantage has a "Map"
That charts various options.
Maybe give it a look?

If its any consolation, at least you have insurance. Im not employed and my wife is an inhome caregiver and the agency she works her doesnt offer insurance. But then,. Even if I had insurance I'd still be weary of surgery-chicken I guess. Instead I choose to suffocate under all this fat. Everyday I tell myself Im going to start losing weight, but Im so obese that I get so tired so fast that I just give up and plop down in front of the TV. Now in my early 30s, it seems my body is starting to give out slowly and to be honest, Im scared. I have this incessant dry throat and the back of my heels always hurt, and I get so winded after a few steps, its embarrasing. And I havent even begun to talk about what I eat.-Anyway good luck and I hope it all works out.
