Skin Question
It seems lately that my skin is a lot more sensitive to the sun. I get burned easier than before and recently after a time in the sun i developed some hives on my arm. Im not allergic to anything but popped some benadryl and applied some over the counter hydrocortisone. Funny thing is I had sunblock on. I have an appointment with my doc next week and Im going to bring this up to him but Im curious if anyone else has experienced this or heard of this happening. I didn't know my layer of fat was protecting me that much!
Miko, No such experience here. A lot of folks do complain about ‘drier skin’ Post-op. Typically a result of not staying hydrated enough- (getting in enough water?) And, the typical reduction of fat in the diet Particularly Essential Fatty Acids, Can cause skin to be "flaky" dry and more susceptible To Sun Damage, reaction to soaps, etc… Getting in enough Healthy Fats? All that came to mind…. Best Wishes- Dx
