But I am glad to find this forum for the guys.  I was scheduled for RNY this wee****ill BCBS pulled the plug with a last minute denial.  SO I am now in a battle with them over my 6 months of diet prior to surgery.  Anyone have some advice for me, it likes a game of chess, and it's my move.  Also, can you guys tell me how much better sex is when you lose all the weight.  :) JJ

PM me and I can give you a document to fill out that all you'd have to do is get your doc to approve of (it's not 'false' it's just smudgery), that's what I did and I was approved through my insurance really quickly.

Welcome to the mens board. I feel for you on your struggles, I know I had a loooooonnnnggg journey to get to the loser's bench but just keep on going and you'll get there eventually.

Nah!   Even some of us guys do WLS!  I hope you get approved if it's really what you want!  No wimps allowed!..It's not the easy way out!

here in Cali BSBC does not require a 6 month diet. BUT my firsdt HMO/IPA did. It may not be BCBS it may ne your medical group if you have an HMO. If you can switch to a PPO when you get the chance, more expensive but it gives you control over all your health related decisions Good Luck
