Hey guys,

I am just getting ready to take my wife in for her RNY this AM.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.  I think I am more nervous than I was when it was me going in for surgery.  I am not looking forward to sitting in the waiting room while she is having her surgery.                                                                                                                                                                         Thanks Guys,

Jim,  WOW!  How cool is this!?  Your wife is joining YOU on the "Loser's Bench"!  I know you are nervous and anxious, but just think about the NEW wife you will soon have and the new life she will enjoy!  I promise to keep her in my prayers today.  God is faithful!  God bless!

Best of luck. I'm hoping for a completely uneventful surgery and quick recovery. Just as a sidenote I noticed you are from Ballston Spa.... Thats my wifes hometown. We live in Indiana now but was there visiting over Christmas. Stayed with my brother in law in Rock city falls. Small world ain't it ?

Hey Jim, my wife is in the process of trying to get the surgery now.  Waiting for a loved one to have surgery is tough.  I will keep both of you in my prayers and thoughts.   I pray she will have a safe and speedy recovery.  It is really neat that you and your wife will be able to share this experience together.

Jim,  I understand exactly how you feel. My surgery is Monday, and my wife is having surgery 4 weeks later. I was not nervous at all until she got her date. My prayers are with you. I wish you the best. Sam

Hi Jim, My wife had RNY surgery 2 weeks after mine with the same Dr. and staff.  I was at ease because I was familliar with the surgical team but the 3 hours in the waiting room were still pretty stressfull.  She had a couple of complications and had to stay in the hospital a couple of days longer than I did but all was OK.  We are now really adjusting to our new lifestyles and enjoying the successes.  I am about 3.5 months out and down 95 lbs, she is out 3 months out and down 70 lbs. Good luck! Tom

Hey Everyone,

Thanks so much for the positive thoughts. Michelle got out of surgery around 1100 this morning and everything went perfectly. She says that her dry mouth is bothering her more than any of the surgical pain. Hopefully she will keep doing so well and will be on her way home on Sunday morning.

Let me tell you, it is much more stressful and anxiety producing to sit and wait to hear how the surgery went.

It means so much to me to hear everyone's encouraging thoughts.   It was exciting know that she will be feeling the way I am now, I have not felt so good since I was in high school.

Jim
