Nice thread  I have also wondered about mine I am only 6 weeks out of surgery and I am not pushing the pouch  and I still have not tried anything very sugary .I never was a sweets eater I just over ate on the main food (chicken fried steak, mash potatoes, and such) never ate dessert .But I haven't dumped once I any way and I have eaten fried chicken, tamales, pizza, beef, chili, anything that is cooked that night. I just don't eat much. But it does worry me one of the reasons I chose the RNY was the aversion and I haven't found any yet. But my Sister had her rny 2 yrs ago and she has several things she cant eat (white meat chicken/any raw veg. and more ) and she is irritated with my tolerance. I was beginning to think I was weird  seeing all the others talk about how much they cant eat. So ever forward guys

Yeah.. my tolerance to food is a bit too much for me to be comfortable with. The foods that make me feel worst are the dense meats...beleive it or not. Dry meats feel like a sinker in my stomach..and are not feel-good foods. It's all about moisture content in food someone once said here...I think it might've been Dex or Dave....so true!

Chicken salad is a good one for moisture content combined with solidity. Just make sure you get some sorta large pieces of celery or whatever veggies you put in. My wife adds some chicken stock to the may to make it more juicy. A cup or so should fill you up. Of course, my wife is my food factory putting this stuff together. She loves to cook and a few other good things.

I used to love chicken salad Dave, but as I mentioned up above... Mayonnaise made me so sick a couple times early on after surgery that I'm still not ready to go near it again. I think it's the only thing that's ever made me puke after surgery.

Hi!! I dont mean to be honing in on your "men" forum but I just thought i would see what you all were talking about, taking a break from the regular forum. But I have the exact same problem, I am a little over 7 months out, I still have about another 80 or so lbs to lose but i feel like I too have the pouch of steel, not that i have pushed the limits to much yet, but everything i have tried doesnt bother me, i have never dumped, and it scares me, but i am glad though that at 7 months out i have lost 189 now, but still, i thought i was going to take 2 bites of food and be full, not the case here, i have to actually make my portion and say hey even if your still hungry this is all you get, kinda sux!! and i never feel full ever that sux too. thanks for listening...

Baja,

I thoroughly enjoyed your response and the DRIPPING sarcasm contained therein. I could really feel it. On the other hand, I thought your response could have been made more effective by taking advantage of her reference to "honing." She opened the gate wide open for you big guy!

On second thought, I suppose you're still smarting from your recent bout over in TunaTown. My apologies. I know I shouldn't second guess the effectiveness of a world class guardian as yourself.

That's right. "Hone that cone."

What's this about about a "bout in TunaTown?"

Baja didn't take anyone's tunaboat to tinseltown did he?

(Remember that from Grump Old Men?)

Dave,  I don't know the specifics since Baja hasn't revealed them but from what I understand, a rather cruel TunaTown poster tore into Baja and hurt his feelings. He is obviously still upset over the encounter  and I'm sure he would appreciate any moral support you could throw his way to help him lick his wounds.  Boner
