Know Any Men Into Anime .....

 .. other than my 53-year-old brother???    Seems bro's latest obsession at the end of the workday is to sit and watch Anime on cable T.V. at night ..  He can tell you the story line behind every one of them ..  I've told him, "what MAN is into cartoons???"   and asked him, "are you into little girls, or what?" (they all seem to focus on little girls with itty bitty voices) ..   This is just a total mystery to me, as he's not exactly the artsy-fartsy type  ..   (no offense to anyone)

eww...yeah, I'd be mystified. The only thing good about those is the detail in the artwork.

I still like to watch Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner, Pink Panther.  I guess I'm going through my second childhood (brings back memories of  a simpler time)

I have found some that I like but they are more the feature films rather than the weekly or daily dose of anime. Some story lines have been really great while others are for 2 year olds. Have you seen the movie Princess Monanoke? No offense is taken at all, your brother sounds like my teenage son, he knows every charactor and every storyline, I wish he could apply that knowledge and information retention tro his school work!!!

I’ve got three teens that are nuts for that crap. Dragon Ball Z & others. I can’t stand to be in the same room. But I did watch speed racer when I was a kid.

 

 But to keep it fair my wife can’t stand Family Guy.   

 

Well when I was growing up, my parents hated me watching cartoons. Now that I am an adult, they constantly tell me I am not "normal" for watching cartoons. I like South Park, Family Guy, Boondocks, Aqua Teeh Hunger Force, Venture Brothers, American Dad, Simpsons, Classic Cartoons (Woody Woodpecker, Bugs, Daffy). I like some of the Anime, but not too much. Just about the only cartoons I cannot stand is Disney stuff. When my Mom or Dad starts up with "when will you grow up, blah, blah, blah" I usually just respond with "yes, the crooked nursing home is much cheaper than the good one" That shuts them right the F up! LOL

I love cartoons.. LOL.. well, the old ones... I get that nostalgic Saturday morning cartoon rush watching Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Bugs, etc.. all the Hanna Barbara stuff...  I know guys into anime.. I don't get most of it  myself.  I know it's the Japanese style stuff... my teenage son watches a lot of it, but I think half of it is for those giant breasted women.. (since when do they show nip hardons in a cartooon?)  They do have a lot more adult oriented stuff... some of it's very violent.  I've seen some of the stuff, like the martial arts type stuff that looks ok.  Seems the signature look is the big eyed face. The one he watches the most is called Naruto.  It's one of the martial arts based series. Dale
