Need some encouragement...
Hey, not gonna dump on you for feeling like you do.
I had a period like that, about the same time. Your body is just beginning to heal from having your innards rearranged. Swelling inside fluctuates for a while, your body responds by flushing out stuff, withholding fluids as part of the healing, etc.
It's not a steady, one direction kind of thing day to day at first . . . but over the weeks and months to follow, the sum will be steady -- healing, feeling better, losing.
Just stick with it. If you get down, grab a bottle of water and go for a walk.
Changing your environment can make a big difference at this time especially.
All the best.
It's gonna be all right.
The reason you aren't losing is because you have not made an offering to the Clothes Gods!! You must go out and buy a couple of expensive pieces of clothing when you hit that plateau...Knowing for sure that this is the end of the weightloss. Once that is done..You will start dropping again big time!! Also you will have worthless pieces of clothing you can make into a clothes shrine...Brian
Dalton,
Use this time to develop your life-long conviction to living your new healthy life-style. Once you do that, you won't care so much what the scale says because you will know that you are doing everything right. If you do that things will happen just the way you want even though they may not happen as fast as you would like. Does this make any sense?

Hey, 2 weeks and 32 lbs, thats great. try to stay off the scale, once a week will be better. I know its hard not to, I used to do it many times a day. when does your doc think it will be ok to hit the gym? It took me 2 months post op. thats when you will see the biggest results. Even then I hit some plateaus, its very strange when you are losing fat weight and building muscle weight at the same time.Thats when you really have to push harder. For right now I wouldn't worry too much, the weight will come off by itself with little or no effort. Stay focused and think positive.Good luck!
