Egg question

How do eggs do for you guys? As in can you eat them scrambled, fried, poached, boiled, raw...etc? I was thinking about going over to IHOP (and btw, that's just about the only thing left in the world today that has an "I" in front of it that means something lol) and getting an omelet for breakfast one morning, but I'm worried it won't do well with the pouch (temperamental *******). I have tried boiled, works fine, tried scrambled eggs at a hospital (my mom had RNY a few days ago and we were stuck eating cafeteria food) but they weren't like the kind you would make yourself.  So I'm not real sure....some people say they can tolerate any type of egg that doesn't eat them first, so I just wanted some different opinions on this. Thanks.

I usually eat my eggs fried over hard. They go down good but I do have to eat them slowly. Being so soft I tend to want to just pile it down but I do have to remember to chew and take small bites.

Eggs keep me VERY full so take it slow and you should do fine.

Once I started eating solid food again post-op Eggs worked great for me. Scrambled, Poached, Omelets, etc… My “Guilty Pleasure was 2 to 3 Eggs Over easy with a half an order of really dark and crispy hash browns. Traveling a lot, I always found some 24 hour breakfast joint that had them.  I probably ate that same meal 200+ times during my first and second years Post-op. At home I’ll fry them in Canola Oil. Eggs work Great For me. Best Wishes- Dx

I have had my eggs, scrabled, poached, over easy, and hard boiled.  I have had omelettes made from whole eggs as well as egg whites, both were fine.  I just think that the contents of your omelette is going to be the determining factor more than the eggs themselves.  At least it was for me. Good luck Scott

I can eat eggs cooked any way, although I hate it when you have to chase the yolk all over the plate.  If your not too far out, try to get a kids egg meal, or split an adult meal with someone. You'll probably not be able to eat the whole thing.  After I was about 12 months out I could eat 2 eggs, small portion of hash browns, 2 bacon strips and one piece of toast. That was on of the things I could eat out without any problems.  The only way you'll know is to try.
