Of defecating
I could be constipation's poster child. I'm about 15 months out and still have trouble. A couple of things I have found is to eat some fresh fruit, apples do it for me. I eat a bowl of oatmeal, granola and raisons each morning. I take two stool softners each day. And if I go more than four days without going, I launch a supository and stay close to home for awhile.
I know what you mean about the mega loads. I put what looked like coiled anaconda in the bowl. At first I was proud and considered it a possible photo op. But then the damn thing wouldn't die. I was at work and made an annonimous phone call to house keeping. I happened to be in the hall when the poor cleaning lady returned pale and sweaty from the plunger session. I still feel bad for her.
I do a combination of things, and sometimes still stop up the John. I eat oatmeal every morning to make sure I get good fiber--one cup full. I take stool softeners--2 at night and one in the morning. I also drink at least 4 oz of prune juice daily. This work good most of the time. Then it seems when I have a couple of foods (one is a small bowl of dried peas) I can't go for a whole day. Then the following day, I'll have those that "stab back" and the next BM may be diarrhea. I felt your labor pain episode earlier today.
