Post op and a couple ??
I'd leave the stallion in the barn for a spell.
Riding won't cause problems.... it's standing that big pig up and setting her down that may cause undo strain on your new guts.
As you and I both know, Harleys are well balanced until they get a degree or two over tilted.... and then it takes some umph to get her up level. Should you park on some uneven surface, or put your kickstand in a low spot, you know that you'll exert yourself rather than drop your ride (specially if anyones around that might get a laugh out of it).
Hey Eddie, I like a guy that has his priorities straight. I think my surgeon gave me the OK at my 2 week follow up. He told me I could drive at the same time. I had my staples out at about 8 days.
I didn't tell him but I drove myself to my 2 week follow up and I had road my motorcycle the day before. Just around the neighborhood. I was real careful about trying to use my legs when standing my bike up.

I think there is a VSG forum on OH that may be of greater help to your question. I'd think NO to the any biker runs at this time--too soon after surgery.

I didn't ride my own fatboy until the spring, so I was 6.5 months from my own WLS day...
Course, the first ride was a bit scary, figuring that I might'a waited a bit....but that steady pocket-a-pocket-a was a real rush...as always...
Oh, one more thing. I've thought about this twice in the past - when I get the foamies cause I swallowed TOO quickly and didn't chew up my food well enough, I wanted to go out to the garage and start'er up and just sit there....and let the vibration work it's magic on that plug....
Didn't tho...but am still thinking about it...and if it works, I'll email Harley and have them add this "cure for the foamies" to their marketing materials!!!

I asked my Doc how soon after my surgery I will be able to ride my Yamaha Venture tour bike (she is a beast - 900 lbs. of V-4 steel pony). He said he would give it a month to 6 weeks, depending on how well I recover.
It ain't the riding but possible would be situations that could arise that could cause a problem. Too much lean to one side at a light and she is a biatch to keep from going over.
And believe me, my instincts would kick in and I would probably tear my guts loose tryng to keep her off the pavement!!
