Awright guys, nuff talk about Richard Quest, Anderson Cooper and Jack Cafferty - I'll bet the Chinese wi****'d been him in Central Park!

Anyway, I had been doing all my sprinting in the form of running - outside on asphault and inside on a long linoleum floor we have in the gym at work, but last week since the garage is now warm enough to go half nekkid, I go down there in my birthday suit, put on the bike shorts (padded) and the Sidis, clamp onto the pedals and put the lonely 'ol tri bike to work. What a waste to use sewups on Zipps on a stationary setup, but hey they saw their last time I was thin.

Anyway, I do a 10 minute warmup (a must to avoid cardiac events) and then 8 30 second sprints full out with a minute of rest in between.

15 minutes later, after I've shaved for the day and said "hello" to my wife, I go out on the track and do various running drills and runs. We won't go into the Pose method of running. That's rather specialized and you have to fall in love with it to really want to do it.

Have a Great Day,

Dave

Zipp wheels are the gold standard in my book, Dave and sewups no less! You must have an awesome bike. Kick it into overdrive and let me know how you feel, will ya? There's nothing better than flying down a mountain pass at 50+ mph on a bicycle. Now that's livin'!!  Boner

hey, guess what? i've finally done some HIT stuff! yep, i went to a running site somebody posted here and found a way of running new to me. it's called Fartlek! don't know if that will print here. anyway, it's swedish for speed play. so i run along and then sprint for 15 seconds or so and then slow to my pace again. i just do whenever during my run. it's a great workout and very intense. i run as hard as i can until towards the end. then i just run 2/3 faster than my jogging. i think it's helping somehow! not sure how though. my legs are getting bigger from it though. so finally, add me to the hit program.

i still don't do it with weights though. i just try to lift heavy most days. very little high rep anymore. just trying to maintain or build. i figure running and swimming will be my cardio and now the fartlek for hit! later.......carbonblob
