60 Minutes Tonight on WLS
If you missed the special, it was very cool. I am at the very beginning of my journey (surgery will probably be around beginning of October) so it was fasinating. Probably old hat to you guys.
Here is the link to the site where you can watch it if you missed it:

a couple things really jumped out at me. first, they only lose a third of their weight. not for guys! next, they are still obese at the end of the day. also, only 1% who qualify actually get the surgery. well, it worked for me in the sense i was off all my drugs from day one too. now i can only imagine what the rest of the public was thinking when they saw that panel. only one guy, the redhead into kayaking, looked like he lost weight. they did say the doctor was only three months out and lost a huge amount. i wish they would have said those others were still losing because it looked like the whole bunch didn't have the surgery!!!!! i'm not being mean but i bet i'm not the only one thinking that. i would just have liked for them to said each has lost so and so much or they were only a few months out. or better yet, put a bunch of skinny people on that panel. just look at all the before and after pics here. come on, i wonder what was up with that? carbonblob
