I received it in the mail today. Yep it was the approval letter from Aetna. Which means since Aetna approved it...BCBS cannot deny it! Meaning 100% COVERAGE! NOTHING OUT OF POCKET! ZIP! ZERO! ZILCH! NADA! I am having it framed tonight. just thought you all should know.

That's awesome.  Thank the Lord.  I have to pay 1500 out of poket.  So you did great.  There is always room on the losers bench.  Now you just need to get all the other appointments taken care of and you be in the OR counting backwards.

That’s great news, it sure helps to know that you won’t have to pay out anything. I had Atena and they paid everything from my first meeting with my doctor my RNY surgery, post care, and they even paid 100% of my hernia and PS. Full steam ahead to your spot on the losers bench. Good luck Alan H

I'll be thinking about you here in a couple of weeks when I write the second in a series of twenty quarterly checks for $1500 to pay for mine. Somehow I think the new car smell is gonna wear off this surgery before it gets paid off. Congratulations on your situation though. It must be nice to not have to trade an increased financial burden for a lessened physical one.

Well at least reaching for you checkbook in your back pocket will be easier when your skinnier.  Not so much fat to reach around.  And if you happen to drop the checkbook you'll be able to bend over and pick it up.  If I ever win the lottery I promise you, I will pay off your surgery. 30 days and counting.

Congratulations! Zero $ out of pocket is damn good!! I'm trying to pay all my bills with my Flexible Spending Account and it has been pure HELL!

That's AWESOME~! I had to pay my deductible out of pocket which was about $600 but it was worth every red cent!
