Has It Really Been 2 Years
Hey guys,
I can't believe it's been two years since my surgery. So many of you guys have been an inspiration and the reason for my found success. Thanks DX, Dan, and CB to name a few.
I know I'm considered a "light-weight" only losing 140 pounds, but I feel fantastic about myself. Going from a size 48 pants down to a size 30, and 3X shirts down to boys x-large, has me amazed. I'm finally accepting the fact that I am skinny. That was a hard thing to get through my mind. I know for a fact that I wouldn't be in the job I have now if I was still fat and I'm very thankful for that. Since the first of the year, I'm now an executive secretary for one of the very top execs in our organization. In fact, I'm the only male secretary in a building of 4000 employees. Don't see that happening 140 pounds ago.
Last year I had the biggest FART I'll ever experience. A guy came into our support group one night before his surgery, looked at me and asked if I had surgery. When I told him yes, I overheard him tell his wife that he wanted to look just like me someday. Will never forget that guy and he's doing fantastic himself.
Thanks for everyone's support and friendship. It does make an immense difference in our success.

Floyd! Congratulations on your 2 years!
I’ll never fit in a pair of 30" pants (My Skeleton would have a time trying that) But I’m loving my medium shirts. You are an inspiration to more folks than you know… Keep it Up! Best Wishes- Dx

Happy Anniversary to you..........Congratulations to you.......and continued best wishes for continued successs. The journey has just begun, my friend. As most will tell you, the losing weight is the easy part...the keeping it off...and continueing hte good habits is the hard part. However, you have done such an incredible job... I have faith you will continue. You have been an inspiration to many...never forget that. Whether by modeling behavior, posts, responses, etc... you have helped, supported, and encouraged others!!! That is the lasting legacy of surgery. We gain a new life, we touch others in ways we don't realize....and most important...we become the people we want to be... Again, continued congratulations!!!!

That is very kind of you to say!!!! As I said, each of us has been an inspiration for one another. I know that I have found su*****redible encouragement and support from many in here. During the good times...the people in here are great...however....during the bad times, they are AMAZING!!! I find that when I am having issues, these are the people that i can turn to for the support I need. BEST WISHES for continued success!!!

right back at ya floyd! as you know, i had my two year last december. a lightweight too.....lol. i'm so happy things worked out for you. i have to admit, i would be in a different place had i not lost the weight. funny, you just can't walk through certain doors when you're fat, no pun intended.
speaking of compliments, i went into the vitamin shoppe the other day. i had on a sleevless t shirt. i get to the counter and the young guy says, hey, i see you brought the gun show! it's been so long since anyone has ever noticed i had to think about it for a second, then i understood, oh yeah, that's a compliment!
now, nobody has ever said they want to look like me but i wouldn't have forgotten that comment either. what a nice thing to say. i would by flying on that for a long time. you know, no one has ever called me an insperation until i came here. i have to also admit, i haven't been truly inspired until i met some of you guys too. the guys here (and yourself) have kept me engaged and in the game. thanks for doing your part to keep me coming back. you've done so good and set a fantastic example for the rest of us new or old. keep up the good work....carbonblob
