ugh dump
Well I thought I was dump free. Have never had a problem with it until today. One of the departments here at work did a bbq for lunch, they had wild boar and venison, well I think the bbq sauce on them was a little too much for me. My stomach is revolting on me right now. Oh, it tasted so good too. Now I'm paying for it. Live and learn. Scott
The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Scott,
Hope you are feeling better. I have watch my wife dump and it is not a pretty sight. We have learned to ask questions when we eat out or things other people prepare. The rub used on a steak at a local resturaunt caused her to dump once. We later found out that it had brown sugar in it. So when we try some place new we ask if there is sugar in their rub or sauce. The servers and managers have been even nice enough to bring out the packaging so she could see the ingredients for herself.
Take care,
Bill
It could have been the pork. Pork is still the toughest thing for me to eat (digest). Also my one and only dump was on either pork or a cream soup. You never forget your first dump. It is like the first time you drank too much liquor and the room is spinning!! You swore NEVER AGAIN!! Same with dumping. Brian
Interesting that you mention soup, Bryan. I'm not sure I've ever dumped, but if I have it was about 13 days out and it was on Cambell's Tomato soup. I had intense abdominal cramps for about 2 hours. Haven't touched it since, just in case.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
It could have been the gamey meat. My surgeon told me to be careful on wild meats for the first 6 months - he gave me a physiological reason behind it, but dam I can't think of it now to save my life. I love the deer jerky, but I have stayed away from it for now. Other kinds of meats are okay, but deer was on my no no list. Just some food for thought. Take care, Taz
That nasty feeling passed pretty quickly. So I feel pretty lucky about that.
I love venison jerky, but haven't had any in a long time.
I did recently find buffalo jerky at trader joe's. It has all the protein of the beef, and 10 less calories per serving. It is pretty darn good.
