Hello everyone!

So far, I've lost 130 pounds the "old way" and now that I'm getting closer to my goal the skin issue is starting to bug me. BIG time!

After researching procedures and surgeons I noticed that there's not much info related to PS in MALES. I'm hoping to connect with others which have had PS to deal with the excess skin after WL. If you can recommend/share thoughts on procedures, testimonies, websites and/or surgeon's info (especially in So. CA) I will appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

Well you found the right board . There are a lot of men here in the locker room that have had PS of some sort. I on the other hand have not . Have no need for it as of right now . I am sure someone will answer you with some info . What kind of answers are ya looking for ?  You might want to through a few questions out there so we know what your looking for .  Best wishes  Nick

There is a plastic surgeon in San Diego, who has an office in Del Mar and San Clemente. He specializes in plastics on people who have lost a lot of weight, normally through a weight loss surgery. I've seen him speak twice at my support groups.  He stresses not to jump a the first PS you find, as some are not credentialed properly. I think his name is Dr. Batra, but if you send me a private message, I have some literature in my car, where I can find his name and phone number if you are intersted. He said he did over 70 procedures on both men and women from weight loss last year, and he had an extensive slide show to show before and after photos of these people. People who have been overweight for some time, tend to have thinner skin. This requires some specialized techniques and surgical instruments that he has developed. The only area he can't really "fix" is to give someone a normal looking butt.  He said those butt implants don't work very well on weight loss patients.
